Koh Phangan, February 2017
In February we visited the beautiful Koh Phangan Island - one of the three, popular within tourists, islands near the eastern coast of Thailand. Besides Koh Phangan, the two other islands are the biggest out of them three, Koh Samui, and the smallest of them all, Koh Tao.
The island was the perfect way to relax after the bus rides! It was quite cheap to rent the scooter (250 baht) and the views were often really stunning. Although it took us a bit of time to find the perfect beach, because a big part of the beaches near the port were quite muddy and not too appealing, once we found it, we felt like in our own little paradise.
Eventually we 'settled down' in a little wooden bungalow with basic interior - literally bed, mosquito net and a fan, but for 550 baht it was perfect! It had the shower and the toilet though and the terrace and the nature around was super beautiful! We didn't even mind the geckos crawling on to our ceiling and even though the birds would not shut up all day round, it was a great thing to be woken up by the sound of the ocean.
Anyways - check it our for yourself, scroll down to see the gallery of photographs and a short video to show you where we stayed!
